Who We Are
Enchanted Acorns Nursery warmly welcomes children aged 0-3 into our nurturing and supportive environment. Offering childcare, ad-hoc, and creche services, we ensure that every child's needs are prioritised while providing a 'home from home' experience. We strive to enrich their early development and foster a sense of belonging.
Enchanted Acorns was founded by Charlotte Hardy and Elizabeth Ressa who previously ran their own childminding businesses from home and have children of their own.
Charlotte and Elizabeth noticed a need for a more homely environment for early years children and therefore created a home from home childminding setting with consistent staff, a homely feel and a family orientated disposition.
We care for children aged 0-3 years and wrap around care for children 3-11
Meet the Team
Our dedicated team of experienced Childminders and Childminding Assistants are passionate about providing a safe, nurturing and inspiring environment where every child can thrive.
All members of our team hold up-to-date Safeguarding and Paediatric First Aid qualifications, ensuring children’s safety and wellbeing are always our highest priority. We follow robust safer recruitment procedures, meaning every team member is thoroughly vetted, reference-checked and DBS cleared before joining our setting.
We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of care and professionalism. Our team regularly completes additional training and professional development courses to strengthen our knowledge and skills. By continually updating our qualifications and keeping fully informed of current regulations, guidance and best practice requirements, we ensure our provision remains compliant, current and of the highest quality.
Most importantly, we are caring, approachable and dedicated to building strong partnerships with families, creating a supportive community where children feel secure, valued and confident to explore and learn.
Price List
Early Years 0-3
Children ages 0-3 years £8.50 per hour.
Funded spaces available. FEET, Working parent, Universal Credit, Tax free childcare
Most working families with children under the age of five will be entitled to 30 hours of childcare support.
The new entitlements are being introduced in phases:

Eligible working parents of two-year-olds can now access 15 hours funded early education and childcare (over 38 weeks a year) from the term after their child's second birthday.

From September 2024, eligible working parents of children from nine months up to three-year-olds can access 15 hours funded early education and childcare (over 38 weeks a year) from the term following their child turning nine months.

From September 2025, the offer will be rolled out in full, with eligible working parents of children aged nine months and above able to access 30 hours funded early education and childcare (over 38 weeks a year) from the term following their child turning nine months.
The new entitlements do not replace FEET funding for eligible two-year-olds or Universal (15 hours) funding for all three and four-year-olds.

Ad hoc childcare available at £9.50 per hour. Short notice and short duration bookings.
Wrap Around
Drop off to Manorcroft Primary or Thorpe Lea Primary £9 per hour. Open from 7am, closing at 6PM
Collection charges start from 3PM and rounded up to the nearest hour
